ALLIANCE BASIC PRINCIPLES

PARTY POLITICS OUT, CITIZENSHIP IN

We are NH’s Virtual Town Hall, and here are our basic principles:

  • The Alliance gives our citizens accurate and balanced information about issues facing NH today, separates fact from opinion, and presents the pros and cons of various solutions.
  • The Alliance takes no policy positions, nor endorses specific candidates; instead it encourages a civil exchange of information, ideas, and trust.
  • The Alliance is vigorously nonpartisan (party politics out, responsible citizenship in).
  • The Alliance is member-driven; members set the agenda, debate issues and take action as individuals.
  • The Alliance uses both state-of-the-art communications technology and face-to-face deliberation to spark instant discussion and provide a forum like no other.

Guided by these principles, NH citizens will have a broad, interactive and accessible venue to stimulate interest and engagement in state and local issues. It is our belief that these are the true benchmarks of responsible citizenship.
